The poetry book follows a young Michael, age 20, through a coming-of-age paralleled by images of growth in nature and the birth-to-death cycles of people, fields, trees, leaves, mountains surrounding him. Using cyclic visuals that repeat and resound in almost the same way nature does - traveling through seasons with age, time, observations - Kriesel captures an important and endearing part of youth, innocence, awareness, and knowledge in words far mature for their age.
